An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Garage door installer or team to join our highly successful company. We are looking to appoint a full-time contractor to work out of our Mulgrave facility and across Melbourne suburbs.

About the role:

This is a contractor position.

Your duties will include the following:

• To provide a high level of customer service through, installations of garage doors, gates, automation and associated products and services.
• Invoice and handover of the completed job with the client.
• OH&S policy is followed including job safety analysis of site resulting in zero injury.
• Heaps of ongoing work for a highly motivated professional or team.

About you and your Skills:

• Garage door/gate experience - Preferred
• Service/trade/mechanical experience in similar industry
• Driver’s license
• Previous experience working in a similar industry.
• Strong practical and technical skills
• Contingency and troubleshooting aptitude.

• Focus on customer service and communication.

• Well presented.
• Attention to detail.
• Exceptional work ethic and highly motivated
• You have or can get an ABN and insurance

About the role:

This is a full time position working at our Mulgrave facilities

Your duties will include the following:

To ensure that all items are welded, in a safe manner, to the highest quality standard and meet business requirements including:

• OH&S Compliance
• Quality compliance by welding doors as per specification
• Production schedule timeframes are met
• Upon completion of welding, ensure that doors are labelled, cleaned and easily identified for storage and pick up
• Creation of custom frames from galvanised steel
• Read and interpret CAD shop drawings

About you

• You are a highly motivated experienced welder

• You have a positive attitude

• You would like to work as part of an innovative and fun team.

• Have a genuine desire to support team members.

• Minimum one year welding in a similar industry

• Minimum one year working with thin steel

• Experience using power tools
• Looking for Continuous Improvement within the welding area.

• The ability to work autonomously and take direction,
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Exceptional work ethic
• Precision MIG Welding
• Power tool knowledge and experience
• Technical mind
• Ability to meet deadlines

• Creation of custom Frames from Galvanised steel
• Ability to read and interpret CAD Shop Drawings
