The extensive range and applications of the High Speed Garage Doors are highly specialised, and allow for a variety of different door styles and options to suit a range of business needs. The high opening and closing speeds of spiral and high-speed sectional doors can optimise work processes and significantly accelerate logistics processes in factories or warehouses. Depending on the door type that is chosen, the galvanized, double-skinned garage door panels are guided into a spiral or into tracks. High speed doors also require special safety precautions however the solution for these doors is a standard light grille that is protected inside the side elements of the door. The garage door’s closing zone is monitored here without any contact and further safety and security accessories can be added onto the door options.
High speed doors are used inside and outside. High speed doors optimise the flow of traffic, improve room conditions and save energy. With the ability to close your door rapidly, you can minimise the temperature fluctuations which inevitably result from having an open gap between one area and another – this is true whether you want to keep the area in question cold or warm.
The Hörmann range provided by 4D includes both vertically and horizontally opening transparent doors with a flexible curtain. They are also available in combination with sectional doors and rolling shutters, as well as with powerful, service-friendly spiral doors with smooth aluminium profiles.
All european high speed doors come with a powerful frequency converter control (FU) as standard. This considerably extends the lifespan of the door’s working parts.

Wicket door with trip-free threshold
The wicket door with extra-flat stainless steel threshold ensures easier passage of pedestrians. With doors with a width up to 5510 mm, the threshold rail is only 10 mm high in the middle and 5 mm high at the edges, reducing the risk of tripping considerably and making it easier to wheel things through. Under certain circumstances, 4Ddoors powered by Hörmann wicket doors with trip-free threshold can even be used as escape doors and for barrier-free construction.
